Terms of Service

Last updated: September 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, creating an account on, or interacting with Chronicle ("the Platform"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to revise these terms periodically to reflect evolving platform features or regulatory requirements.

2. Publishing & Content Ownership

We celebrate authors and believe engineering creators should maintain ownership over their original intellectual work:

  • Author Ownership: You retain all intellectual property rights and copyright to the technical articles, diagrams, and tutorials you publish on Chronicle.
  • Display License: By publishing on Chronicle, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, format, index, and display your content to readers across web and mobile surfaces.
  • Originality Guarantee: You warrant that your articles do not infringe upon any third-party copyrights, proprietary secrets, or non-disclosure agreements.

3. Community Standards & Moderation

Chronicle maintains high architectural and technical standards. All community discussions, comments, and interactions must adhere to professional engineering courtesy:

  • Constructive criticism and technical debate are welcome; personal harassment, hate speech, or abuse will result in immediate suspension.
  • Spam, automated advertising, malicious code samples, and deceptive links are strictly prohibited and actively removed.
  • Chronicle administrators and authors retain the authority to moderate, mark as spam, or remove comments that degrade community discussions.

4. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Articles published on Chronicle provide technical information, architecture patterns, and educational material. While authors and moderators strive for accuracy, code examples and architectural guidance are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for testing and validating any code or architectural decisions in your own environments.
