• Direct Account Information: When you register directly, we collect your full name, email address, and a securely salted & hashed password.
• OAuth Single Sign-On (Google & GitHub): When choosing "Continue with Google" or "Continue with GitHub", we receive verified public profile information including your display name, verified email address, avatar photo URL, and unique provider identifier. We never have access to your Google or GitHub account passwords.
• User-Generated Content: Articles, draft submissions, comments, likes, bookmarks, and author bio information that you publish on the platform.
• Technical & Session Diagnostics: IP address, user-agent string, browser type, and timestamps used exclusively for session management, rate limiting, and spam prevention.

Your account data and articles are stored in encrypted database clusters hosted on MongoDB Atlas with automated backups and network isolation. Media assets and profile avatars are securely delivered via Cloudinary CDN. All communications between your browser and our backend utilize modern TLS encryption (HTTPS).

Authentication tokens (JSON Web Tokens) are stored locally in your browser's secure storage and are used solely to maintain your signed-in state. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data to third-party advertisers.

You retain full ownership and control over your personal data:

• Profile Modification: You can edit your display name, bio, and password anytime via Account Settings.
• Account & Data Deletion: You have the right to request permanent account deletion. Upon deletion, your user credentials, personal profile, and private bookmarks are permanently expunged from our database records.
